2026
MachineX is a decentralized exchange where humans and machines trade everything from tokenized robots and DePIN utility tokens to space, time, and energy. Built on Peaq’s blockchain technology, it’s the peer-to-peer marketplace at the core of the emerging Machine Economy.
Our challenge was to capture the promise of humans and machines working together, without falling back on familiar industry tropes.

Challenge
MachineX is a decentralized exchange where humans and machines trade everything from tokenized robots and DePIN utility tokens to space, time, and energy. Built on Peaq’s blockchain technology, it’s the peer-to-peer marketplace at the core of the emerging Machine Economy.
Our challenge was to capture the promise of humans and machines working together, without falling back on familiar industry tropes.
Strategy
Our brand idea, ‘Human x Machine,’ and manifesto express MachineX’s vision of a world where the boundary between physical and digital blurs. They imagine a future where humans and machines trade, build, and grow together in a new autonomous economy.
Identity
We created an identity inspired by Star Wars’ Mos Eisley and the worlds of Isaac Asimov, bringing retro-futurism into the here and now. Our vivid color palette and logo that fuses nostalgic letterforms with characterful serifs sets the tone. The illustrative landscapes open a new world to explore, and our mascot, DEX, helps breathe life into the Machine Economy. Dexter embodies a future where machines aren’t just tools, but autonomous beings trading, connecting, and thriving alongside us.
Application
We launched MachineX by designing their exchange and website, using expressive storytelling to bring their vision for the future to the forefront. By moving away from cold tech tropes toward an identity that feels both familiar and otherworldly, we set the stage for MachineX to show what’s possible.
Outcome
Since launching the brand, MachineX has powered over 236,000 trades from 9,858 unique addresses. In October 2025 alone, trading volume exceeded $20M, bringing their total volume to more than $57M – and counting.
