Strategy

Making Time Dance

If time is the currency of the experience economy, Franki helps people spend it well. The brand idea “Make Time Dance” reflects the belief that not only does a great time look different for everyone, but that the best recommendations come from real people, not algorithms. Franki prioritises relevance over popularity, using video recommendations to help people find experiences that move to their own rhythm.

Identity

The insiders guide

The identity reframes Franki as an insider’s guide — a shortcut to knowing where to go and when. At its heart is a character symbol that acts as a visual shorthand for being in the know; alert, curious, and always on the lookout for what’s next. Motion drives the system across typography, UI and content bringing rhythm, momentum, and a playful confidence to the brand.

Brand Voice

The jester spirit

Franki’s voice takes its cues from the Jester — the archetype that lives for the moment and never takes itself too seriously. It exists to level the playing field, trading exclusivity and expertise for warmth, wit and honesty. At it’s core, Franki is three things at once — an open book, a good time, and on the pulse; welcoming everyone in, sharing everything it knows, and keeping pace with culture without ever trying to hard. Joy is the point. Good food, good times and a good laugh, shared with people who feel like friends.

Application

Real people and places, front and centre

Built for a community driven by sharing, the identity comes to life across product, content, and communication. A video-first app experience puts real people and places front and centre. Franki Social Club extends the brand beyond the platform — rewarding creators and diners for great recommendations and reinforcing a culture of participation.

Outcome

The most rewarding way to find rewarding experiences

The rebrand marked a shift from discovery tool to community-led platform. Launched alongside the Franki Social Club, the new identity brings the brand idea to life — rewarding people for exploring their city and sharing what they love. It sets a confident new direction for growth, participation, and deeper cultural relevance.
