Challenge
Founded in 2007, Deezer is a globally recognized music streaming service with a vast library and nearly 10 million paid subscribers. In a crowded, competitive market, they needed an identity that would connect with a new generation of listeners – creating a bold, flexible brand system built for the future of music.
Strategy
The rebrand was underpinned by the core strategic concept of “Live the Music.” It positions Deezer as a platform that celebrates the passion and energy of fans – connecting with how they feel, share, and express themselves through the music they love.
Identity
At the core of the design system is a logo inspired by a beating heart – a symbol of passion, energy, and the love of music. Building on this, we created a dynamic visual identity driven by adaptable “beats” that flex across applications. These beats form patterns, textures, and graphic elements, bringing the concept of “Live the Music” to life in a bold and expressive way.
Application
Our work came to life with the launch of an enhanced mobile app and web experience, empowering millions of Deezer users to discover, explore, and connect with their favourite artists and songs. The refreshed identity extended seamlessly across the entire ecosystem, from digital products and social channels to playlists, partnerships, and live music events.
