Strategy

To reinforce Copilot’s humanist approach, our strategy is rooted in the real world. The foundation “For The Thinkers” positions people as the heroes of storytelling, not product. Narratives demonstrate AI’s empowering role in users’ lives as an enabler of clarity, curiosity, and confidence. We defined a set of archetypes to inform a broad range of use cases, as well as the creators who ultimately bring the stories to life on social media.

Identity

Rooted in everyday warmth, the creative principles center on people with grounded points of view. Shot on location across London using 16mm analogue film, the lead piece establishes an observed, tranquil tone—favoring natural pacing and lived-in performances over hyperbolic staging. By carrying an emotional shift from start to finish, the narrative arc reflects relatable lived experiences and reinforces human empowerment as Copilot’s true value.

Application

This system is built for flex across the content ecosystem, allowing the team to create richer content with a shared perspective from bigger storytelling moments to simple UI animations. To bring this to life, we developed an initial spot to reflect the value of thought sharing with Copilot. Instead of asking people to write better prompts, the ‘Let it out’ film offers a more natural starting point: the space to work through the chaos out loud. From there, our Storyteller hero finds the clarity she needs to land her big idea.

Outcome

Copilot’s brand positioning created a natural white space for Microsoft to claim. By rooting the creative principles in “Humanist AI,” we helped the team build a storytelling muscle that flexes beyond the category standard of product-as-hero: by providing a strategic compass that enhances their content ecosystem across channels and elevates their value with everyday users.
